HOW TO USE THE HOURLY DATA TABLE
Health effect categories are based on 24-hour average particulate levels. DEQ has adapted these categories to shorter time periods to provide more immediate advice. The health effects category ratings for the 1-hour, 8-hour, and 24-hour time periods may be different because prolonged exposure to elevated air pollution can worsen health impacts. DEQ recommends consideration of exposure time when planning outdoor activities during periods of elevated air pollution.

Data Disclaimer
The data presented is collected "near-real time" (collection frequency varies with air quality) and is intended only as an indicator of recent air quality. The particulate data may be revised at a later time following quality assurance review. Any disruption of the analyzer including routine performance checks will show up on the graph as a spike to the top and in the table as a value in excess of 900. These points are edited out by hand the morning of the next business day.
