Dog and pony show, NO…passionate people who care about their community, YES!- There is a difference. I am one of the group who are trying to stop this digrace from being put into this residential area. We do care, we are mothers, fathers, children, workers, all of whom care for our Rothschild people and beyond…facts were given within the hour presentation, questions were asked and answered. We are regular neighborhood people living here happily and we would like it to stay that way; but with this terrible idea of bringing this into the residential area like this, is disgusting and totally irresponsible!

Mr. Beck, You apparently missed the bit in the paper on how our WPS asked for a rate increase because we aren’t using as much energy. So why even build a power plant if we aren’t using the electricity that is produced now just a mile down the road? And if you carefully read We energies proposal you will see that they will burn wood IF they have enough and if not they WILL burn other items- they just don’t specify what it is- and yes they could retrofit to burn another fuel source such as tires. Please remember that the jobs this project would bring in are all for skilled labor -pipe fitters, welders, electrians etc.- so the many people hoping for a job won’t get one here. And can you promise me only NEW diesel trucks will be used? The ones hauling logs now aren’t. This new structure will also be ugly and detract from the beauty of Rothschild. And who wants to live in a place like that?

I to was at that meeting that Mr. Beck said was a dog and pony show, plus he added that there was howling and whining.First of all the facts were given in a hour presentation, and then questions followed.Let me state one thing, a biomass plant is being put in a residental area, which has never been done before. Now for those of us who live literaly in the back yard of this project have many concerns. The people that were at the meeting are just folks who care, care for themselves.there children and there community.God bless these people who are trying to stop this from happening.
